Batac mayor Albert Chua leads the distribution of fertilizers, onion and garlic growers, a combine harvester, 3 units of 4W tractor, 3 units of water pump and 17 units of hand tractor to farmers, zanjeras and various organizations in Batac. The Batac government acquired the farm implements through the RA 7171, the Dept. of Agriculture and Dept. of Labor and Employment. San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte —T he Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte-Public Employment Service Office (PGIN-PESO) inaugurated the PRC Offsite Service Center in this town on February 6, 2018. The PRC center is located at a mall here. Since 2015, the PGIN-PESO has been partnering with the PRC for monthly mobile outreaches, paving the way for over 10,000 professional licenses to get their licenses in Ilocos Norte. In 2017 alone, mobile outreaches serviced more than 15,000 professionals. The PRC mobile outreach was part of Ilocos Norte governor Ma. Imelda “Imee” R. The Department of Agrarian Reform-Ilocos Norte recently distributed five hand tractors with implements to different agrarian reform-beneficiaries organizations in the province. (Photo by Joseph C. Barut) The Department of Agrarian Reform-Ilocos Norte distributed on February 19 five (5) common service facilities (CSF), particularly hand tractors with implements, to different agrarian reform-beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in the province. These CSFs are in addition to the farm equipment earlier distributed under Batches II and III of the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity Economic and Support Services (ARCCESS) project of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). The ARCCESS project is a support service delivery mechanism of DAR created to contribute to the overall goal of rural poverty reduction, particularly in agrarian reform areas. DAR expects to distribute more farm equipment through the ARCCESS in the coming months.
