PGIN partners with PRC anew

In line with its desire to make government and professional services more accessible for Ilocanos, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN) in partnership with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted a mobile outreach at the Provincial Auditorium on February 6.

PRC covers the licensure of various professions and occupations under its jurisdiction, thus dealings with the Commission is necessary for new board-passers now requiring licensure and already-registered professionals looking to renew their license.

Forty-three Professional Regulatory Boards operate under the PRC, including those of accountancy, agriculture, architecture, criminology, environmental planning, fishery technology, forestry, guidance counseling, medical technology, midwifery, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychology, professional teaching, social work; and agricultural, chemical, civil, electrical, electronics, mechanical, and marine engineering.

The closest PRC regional offices are in Baguio City and Tuguegarao City, hence most Ilocos Norte residents have to travel to either location whenever they require dealings with the Commission.

PGIN honors Ilocano heroes of past, present through Heroes Walk

Pagudpud’s tourism transformer passes away

Ricardo Nolasco Jr., owner of Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte passed away on Wednesday evening, July 11, 2018. He was 67. “He did not survive an open-heart surgery,” said Ronald Dominguez, spokesperson of the largest resort at Brgy. Balaoi in Pagudpud.
