Rang-ay Bank Laoag branch holds new site blessing

Rang-ay Bank Laoag branch is now in a better and more accessible location. With its blessing and inauguration on April 8, 2014, the branch is now located at the first floor of the Laoag City Commercial Complex along J. P. Rizal St.

Laoag City mayor Chevylle V. Fariñas and Dingras mayor Erdio Valenzuela led the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon. Assisting them was the former Chair of the PRC Board of Dentistry Dr. Rose Canlas Nisce, wife of Rang-ay Bank’s president and CEO.

Fr. Ruben V. Abaya of St. Mary’s Seminary in Laoag City, officiated the blessing of the new site. Ms. Fariñas expressed her warm gratitude to Rang-ay Bank for its focus in serving the banking needs of farmers, fisherfolks and small entrepreneurs. She stated that the re-launching of the branch will enable Rang-ay to continue to provide various financial services to the marginalized, who have difficulty in accessing the formal financial sector.

Rang-ay Bank Laoag branch is currently extending loans that is perfectly matched to the needs of small and medium enterprises, farmers and salaried employees of local government units and private institutions in the entire province of llocos Norte.

During the program Rang-ay Bank President and CEO Ives Nisce remarked that the re-launching of the branch at its new site is a significant milestone. He pointed out that the funds Rang-ay Bank generates are channeled to the communities where it operates, thereby creating new opportunities and new enterprises which contribute to the economic development of the countryside.

At present, Rang-ay Bank has a network of 25 branches spread in the six northern provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Benguet and Pangasinan. Its head office is situated at the region’s capital, San Fernando City in La Union.
